Project carried out as job duties in Kreatik.
What is Prilo
Prilo is a car transport exchange platform, prepared for the specific market of car transport services. A very unique solution on the Polish market. It works for the three parties involved in the car transportation process, the shipper and carrier, and the driver.
- For the industry, it allows for price transparency.
- For the shipper, it allows to choose the most favorable offer, to use the services of verified carriers, and track loads.
- For the Carrier, it helps manage the entire process including booking, assigning trucks and drivers to loads. It minimize the number of phone calls and messages sent.
- For the driver, it allows him to keep all the documents in one place, without the need for paperwork. It speeds up the formalities of loading and unloading.
The challenge
Creating a Cloud based web platform for the B2B market from scratch that satisfies both sides – carriers (+ drivers) and shippers.
This means simplifying complex, non-digital, distributed processes into a single targeted digital solution with a clean information architecture to support a highly complex transportation service process for a specific group of customers.
Discovery
Project started with extensive Product Discovery phase. We decided to use quantitative and qualitative research methods — Market Research Analysis, Competition Analysis, User Interviews, Business Model Canvas, User Testing on prototype,
and ends up with bunch of high-level user stories and UX mockups as final outcomes.
The most valuable outcomes that we get from Product Discovery was:
- expanded competition analysis,
- main brand values,
- 2 possible business models for future product,
- type of technology selected (Java, AWS, Flutter)
- high-level user stories,
- high level UX mockups (70%).

MVP
The first phase (supposed to be an MVP) took about 7 months, and during that time we managed to develop most of the necessary functionalities.
During those seven months, my work mainly consisted of meetings with the Product Owner and the client’s team to clarify details of requirements in processes and to create UX mockups based on user stories and process flows. It was a long path of continuous and close collaboration with the business/systems analyst, UI designer, developers, and the client-side team divided into bi-weekly sprints.
Continuous improvements
After MVP went out in Friends&Family version, there was a time to gather a lot of feedback from users.
What we have heard from users was mostly what was prepared for further development.
Surprisingly, conversations with people showed that despite the fact that the first release did not include RWD and that seemed to be the biggest problem, users’ concerns tended to focus on the commission system, which they found unclear.
The official launch of the platform has come with all marketing activities and we got way more data to analyze.
At this stage we started to measure quantitative data such as:
- number of registrations
- number of new orders
- number of deals made
- number of returning customers
- bounce rate
What’s next?
The platform is under continuous development. After almost 2 years, Prilo has exceeded 2 200 users registered on platform, and over ——- shipments carried out.
